we're moving

I've finally sold the house (again) and found another house that I really like, in Hebden. It is 4 bed with an amazing garden, within budget. It belongs to someone I sort of know who has three kids and it is perfect for us. This is the best house I have seen so far, including the three I nearly bought. It's almost to good to be true and I am very wary of getting too excited because of it falling through before, but I have spoken to the vendor today and arranged to go round for a chat about what she will be leaving, including outdoor play equipment...
It has been so hard to find somewhere that I thought was suitable and big enough, that everyone would be happy with and I could imagine home-educating in. The house we live in now is so great for this, but in some ways there could be advantages with the new one: OK it's end-terraced, but, hey, we do have quite close neighbours here, although they are mostly retired and not that tolerant of children. I think the garden is actually bigger than the one we have here, believe it or not. It is only 10 minutes walk from Hebden, which means we won't need to use the car as much, and Meg will be happy to move back in with us, so we will be together again, that's me and the 4 kids.
It's still early stages yet, but the solicitors are apparently talking 28 days, which could be 4-6 weeks, presumably, which is mid-October, so after Fergus and Freddie's birthdays and before Joy's. stll can't quite believe it's happening. Hope it is.

Sounds great Rosie. To find a house with a garden in Hebden is an achievement in itself!

ps we would have come to the picnic but the kids have whooping cough and we are puppy sitting. Maybe next year!
