3, 6, 9, 12 meme

TWELVE YEARS AGO, ME:
LOCATION: 2 bedroom Council flat, just outside Hebden Bridge
CHILDREN: One, aged 8
JOB: Student, first year degree
TRANSPORT: old Red Ford fiesta, with Orange badge

WISH FOR FUTURE: Get a degree and a proper job.
SPONSORS: Invalidity benefit
HAIR: short
UNDERWEAR: yes, I believe I wore it then, think it was a bit shabby. No bra. Knickers and vest.
FAVE OUTFIT: Hmm, let me think now? I can only remember some brown moleskin jeans, and a caramel ribbed cotton cardigan. Not being my fave items, just can't remember anything else apart from some horrible dark green 501's.

NINE YEARS AGO, ME:

HAIR: Hebden Bridge lesbian haircut- mousy
UNDERWEAR: as much as possible
FAVE OUTFIT: really can't remember anything like clothes from this point in my life. Looking at my recently abandoned wardrobe, I think I was in long skirts with stripy socks and mid length stone-coloured suede boots, with Tesco v-necked T-shirts. Lots of khaki and fushia. (You remember, Gill?)

UNDERWEAR: well, I can actually answer this one: I have one M&S bra and several M&S sensible knickers, ok? Also some humorous boy-knickers which Meg doesn't approve of as they're not at all sexy.
FAVE OUTFIT: PJs, also organic jeans and blue hoody jumper. Apparently I dress like an organochav, as I wear skirts with trousers underneath. I especially like my brown sporty retro hoody with assemmetrical orange and white go-faster stripes down the arms, and also my brown floral skirt with brown linen conbats, which I haven't worn for ages (see above). Also halter-neck or racer back tops in summer, which show off my best feature (shoulders, of course, what d'ya think?). Currently always to be seen in: chocolate brown cord trenchcoat and turquoise peaked cap with extra-long blue scarf.

By the way, now you've read this you're tagged. That means if you don't do it you get 12 years bad luck. (Not really, this isn't Facebook)

more to do

This is my 'to do' list from yesterday: (In timely Monday fashion I start the week with a to-do list, otherwise I get really confused and disorientated. Yes, I have a weekend, and yes, it's different from the week, well. I didn't have the kids for a start...)
Post letters. DONE (actually this is technically still not done, 15.29, Tuesday) don't know
EBay: clean cooker: NOT DONE; answer question: DONE
Tidy: bedroom: DONE, sort of. bathroom: DONE, sort of. kitchen: not really
Hoover stairs: NOT DONE
Washing: DONE x2
Put away washing DONE x2
Go for walk: DONE (see yesterday's post)
Make hair appointment: NOT DONE
Water plants: DONE

Have bath: DONE
Read: NOT DONE
Upload photo's and Blog: DONE
Find babysitter for Friday night; NOT DONE

WHAT ELSE I DID: Take off annoying door-springy things that make the doors slam shut. DONE x2 one more needs finishing and is stuck

Today's to do list is easy: everything that is carried over from yesterday. So, that should be easy, I'll do it in a minute. Just need to clear my head of random thoughts...nope, not happening, I'm getting messaged, nice, but distracting...

Here goes: today's to- do list
EBay: clean cooker: Not yet, but it will sell now!
Tidy: finish bedroom:. kitchen: NOPE
Hoover stairs: Hoover broke after third step...hmmm?
Put away washing Meg did it
Make hair appointment: Still not open
Read: Will do
Find babysitter for Friday night: Attempted
Take off annoying door-springy things that make the doors slam shut. DONE x2 one more needs finishing and is stuck no.

Still messaging. And getting jostled by children waiting for a go on computer: I really need at least one more PC, if not 2. Multitasking

book meme

Here is a booklist.
Not sure where this orginiated but I got it from Jax, who found it at notsheep.

Look at the list of (100) books below.
Bold the ones you’ve read.
Italicise the ones you want to read.
Leave blank the ones that you aren’t interested in.
Movies don’t count.

Ok, some of these, or, rather disturbingly, quite a few of these, I can't actually remember whether I've read or not, so I've said not, as I probably started and didn't finish them. Maybe seeing the film sometimes blots out the memory of the book. I've got a terrible memory and can see a film/read a book several times and still don't remember the ending till I get to it. (I always think Marianne's going to die in S&S, not on list, tut).
Some of the books I've not heard of, and some sound quite interesting, so I might want to read them at some point in the future, I'm just not committing myself now, ok?

Thinking Blogger Award

I have been tagged by Jax for the thinking blogger awards!

The official rules for participation in the Thinking Blogger Awards meme are as follows:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think

2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme

3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote.

I may have to come back to this later, like tomorrow, but I have to get in there now, otherwise all the blogs I read will already be tagged!

From contraversial rants to personal and funny day to day stuff, this tea and chocolate lover is a woman after my own heart, and also a witch. Gotta love The Woodland Path.

Changing Chopsticks makes me wish I was up there in Scotland with all those breathtaking sunsets. It is an extaordinary tale: brave and hilarious. Elaine, you tell it like it is.

The Perfect Path ranges from really nerdy techy stuff about the cutting edge of blogging, which can be quite informative, to ridiculous exploits, which sometimes make me laugh, but I still read it anyway, Lloyd ;-) More of your music, please!

That's it for now, I'm going to bed.
