The news is: there is no news. meaning: I still have no idea when we will be moving, if, indeed we are moving at all. There is some sort of hold-up at the bottom of the chain and the vendor of the house told me yesterday if it's not sorted by the end of this week she's putting it back on the market and it will no doubt be snapped up, being the des res that it is.
Anyway, undeterred, I went to size up the, now empty, house with Joy yesterday. Today, inspite of many potential distractions, in the form of offers of visits from friends and 2 tai-chi classes, I stayed at home and packed and packed. I got well on with my room and Freddie's. Even took curtains down. I decided I have to take my kitchen cupboards as at a second look the 1 year-old kitchen in the house is really tacky and mine's so much better! So I arranged with Martin, who can fit kitchens, to help me with that.
Still can't help wondering what I'll do if it all falls through again. Will I stay or will I go? Into rented, that is. That is, if I sell it at all.
