baby-wearing taichi

I had a go at this today. No, I haven't just secretly sprouted another baby, I borrowed a lovely one when I thought the mother seemed like she could do with having a go on her own. I haven't really wanted to hold a baby for a long time, but I really enjoyed it and carried on Tai-chiing away. We went outside, when the children started charging round the church after a ball and it was quite sunny and not that cold. Fergus was doing quite well with the 2-year-old boy who is always a bit challenging for him, but they all are getting to know each other now and all do amazingly well considering: imagine four adults doing tai chi for 1 1/2 hours with five small children there. Still got no pictures of this, as there never seems to be the right moment.

I had already been to the market after dropping off Joy so we were able to go home for lunch and make muffins for the cake sale at school. Joy has been quite stressed after school, and I will be glad when she leaves (at Easter). She takes it out on the Fergus, and is generally quite angry and aggressive. Funny that it was her difficult behaviour that made me want to send her back there but really that was a bit of a cop out and I knew it at the time- I just didn't have the mental and emotional energy to deal with her then, but things are getting better on that front, thankfully. The immediate effects of school are so obvious now, especicially after having her at home for two weeks at half term. I know she has been having a difficult time there, but seems to still want to go, but not every day. It seems daft to carry on with it now in some ways, but I don't want her to feel that she had to leave early just because she was too much of a handful for the teacher. Yesterday she was told to run round outside for a bit after she had complained about being cooped up in the stuffy classroom ( I don't think it was just stuffy- I think she just didn't like what was going on in there) so she just went and climbed a tree. I suppose at least she can do this, but she does feel a bit of a scapegoat at times.
I've got a painful 'grouting finger' as I realised after comparing notes with Dave, so I don't know how I typed this, well I suppose I dont use all my fingers like your'e supposed to.
I did watch the end of the programme on climate change tonight- what was that all about then? somebody please tell me!
(Tech: you can comment if you get a google account, I don't really know the difference, but I'm sure there's some sinister reason not to have one ;-) )
Edit: Ok its on your blog, Tech- cheers

:) Gill I hope you enjoy it- keep your back straight! (pelvis tucked under- I seem to be good at this as I've learnt since my back injury). The baby got in the way of my arms a bit, but then you are supposed to have a gap there, so it was probabably good for me!
