... I finished grouting the tiles today and look... 
they're done! Hurray! Just needs another mop. (I cant believe that was only this morning). They didn't actually help with the tiling this time, but came to watch every now and then. I'm sure they were taking it all in, anyway.

I'm glad it's finished, although I did find it quite rewarding, I can do something else now...
Fergus must have taken this one.
It's really windy out there at the moment, things are blowing about. Big things. I'm not looking, I'm going to bed.

I love tiling - it's very satisfying, isn't it? Know what you mean about being glad it's finished though. Hmmm.. might do our bathroom..
The tiling looks great! This is the first house I've ever lived in that had a "nice" tiled floor (rather than one of those horrible cheap plasticky-tiled ones), and I didn't know if I'd like it when we moved in - I'd thoughts of cold and hard on our feet and breaking things - but as it turns out, I love it. It's so easy to live with, and ideal for a busy houseful of kids :-)
yes, the quarry tiles are very practical- the ones that went down 5 years ago still look exactly the same as the new ones when mopped, and they are not that cold (although I do always wear slippers downstairs as the kitchen is stone-flagged and the rest is draughty floorboards!)
