boat trip

I had a little boat trip today, all the way from Callis to the Stubbing Warfe. Dawn was taking her boat down to Hebden to put in dry dock tomorrow to paint the bottom. I was just passing, and got a lift to my next house-viewing appointment.

Rowan was really good at helping his mum and operating the lock gates and steering. He's not that much older than Fergus.
Hopefully I will take the children for a trip along the canal when she takes it back in a few days.

When I went to view the house it felt like it was moving and I couldn't tell if it was my sea-legs or the adjascent railway line and road. Mind you, I've spent so much time on boats this weekend, I still feel like I'm gently swaying.
