No matter how cold it is, when there is snow, the children always like to go outside. This morning the boys had a go at throwing snowballs when they reallised a snowman was going to be a bit difficult.
Later on they all went out and looked around and made snow and ice sculptures, using ice cubes from the ice trays we left out last night and more ice from the tin tubs.
Joy and Fergus wanted to take their sledges up the graveyard, but I didn't really think there was enough snow on the ground. It didn't stop them from trying, though.

I love the ice sculpture idea, we will try that here tonight. It will add to the mornings entertainment of seeing who can stand on the sand pit full of frozen water without cracking the ice!

Hi Rebecca! O yes, someone did that here, too, and got a welly full of water ;-)
Huh, we've had no snow at all. Just cold and wet. Bah.
