Happy Easter!

I fell asleep sitting on Fergus's bed after reading his story last night. It had been a full on day. I had to give Meg a lift to work at 9.30am, so we all went down to Mick's to see daddy. I had a nice chat with Mick, who was updating his online music shop, about the ethics of selling records to compulsive collectors, and the possibilities of blogging...
After lunch, and Easter eggs, Brendan took the kids to Colden for a riverside egg hunt with (compulsive record collector) Simon, etc.
I did a bit more gardening and walked up to Michelle's, who was about to set off for a few days in Wales. I met Charlotte's van coming up the hill to pick her up, and waved them off on the way down. Not long after that I got a phonecall from Michelle, asking to be rescued as the van had broken down. So we all drove down to pick her and her stuff up, along with some provisions, and drove her all the way up the bumpy track; with the car quite low to the ground with all the stuff and people in it it was quite bumpy as well.

After tea they wanted to make some Easter gardens with copious amounts of moss we found on the side of the track. It all got a bit tired and emotional, which I blamed on the chocolate, so we ended up with a mad singing session, in which every song had to be about Easter: Chick chick chick chick chicken, If you're happy and you know it shout egg, prented youre a bunny, etc; Someone's in the kitchen with my Easter Egg; I want to walk up the side of the Easter Egg; Like the lazy easter easter egg; Allouette... you get the picture. It was all a bit silly and only ended by Meg missing the bus and me having to go and take her down to Hebden again. O, well, it should be earning me some brownie (babysitting) points.
