Did I mention that I haven't had a bed to sleep on for over two weeks? I thought I could somehow manage until we move but that could be still weeks away and when the 2'6" matress went as well I was left with a very uncomfortable sofa bed (anyone want a sofa bed? No? I didn't think so) and a bad back. I felt incapable of making a proactive decision about getting a bed, but a friend had heard I needed one and phoned me on Sunday evening offering me long-term loan of this wonderful piece, and yesterday she brought it up and helped me put it together. Thanks, Dawn. At half past four I finally got it together to go and buy a matress, thanks to Michelle, who gave me reiki massage and looked after the kids. So this morning I had a delivery from Bedlam of Tod, of a top-quality, factory seconds, pocket-sprung mattress. It's heaven. My back's still really sore and I'm sooo looking forward to going to bed.
