Friday Evening: Tai chi, with Tom, then upstairs to the Trades club, where the band didn't inspire me to dance, but I chatted with Kelly and others till 1am, finally collapsing in bed after 2.
Saturday I had a lovely walk down to Hebden through daisy fields, a stone circle grazed by horses and a bluebell wood with stream; Sat outside my favourite cafe in the sun drinking Illy coffee, black with 3 sugars, writing songs down. Met up with Michelle and did a bit of spontaneous retail therapy in the shop which I hadn't realised belonged to the mother of the owner of said cafe, and who I have know for years and gave me a great discount on a fab dress which I can wear to my friend's wedding in July.
Walked along the canal with Michelle to Callis, bumping into Guy, who made us cups of tea on his boat, and showed us round the community gardens that he has planted up with an impressive array of fruit trees and bushes over the last few years.
We lit a fire and were still there at midnight.
We saw herons and geese by the canal and the trees were fantastic. We walked back to Hebden along the towpath in the dark, and saw the heron again, walking slowly in the water; it was amazing.
Today I seemed to spend a lot of time chasing wayward rabbits back home, but one of them is still gone. This afternoon I went to a sacred singing workshop, which I really enjoyed and must do more of.
When I picked the kids up I had a list of things that needed to be sorted out with Brendan. He and his new girlfriend seem to be trying to match me up with someone I met a few weeks ago, who is, apparently AVAILABLE, (which is possibly more than I could say for D... change the subject), who I did get on with, and seemed really nice, but, really I don't think it could possibly work as he works with HER! Who the kids won't shut up about! SHUDDER!
Anyway, I'm off to catch up on some much-needed sleep now.
