bright and golden

Joy said this morning: "It's really autumn now- I love it when the sun shines on the trees and they're all bright and golden."
So we had a great start to the day. After dropping Joy off we went shopping. Fergus was quite fed up about going until I reminded him of the need for cheese. The boys were both really complaining of the cold when I stopped off to talk to Sarah, who was gardening at the school, so I promised to look for some winter boots. Success! I was fortunate enough to find snow boots for Freddie and warm winter boots for Fergus- that fit! Also splashed out on some very colourful wellyboots for me and a box of fireworks.
